Today marks my first entry for the Food Buzz Project Food Blog challenge.  Please see the below Post for what makes Clearly Delicious special and oh, so, well…clearly delicious.

In short:

Clearly Delicious Food, Cooking, & Recipes on a graduate student’s budget.

Wait….what?

Although frequently known as that really blonde girl in the English PhD program at LSU, I am often best remembered for my abundance of recipes and appetizing results.  While I am currently working towards my PhD in English, I come home nightly to prepare food that isn’t the boring fare of your traditional grad student, but rather, a wide variety of tasty, “clearly delicious” cuisines.  Recipes range from the most challenging of French dishes such as Pâté de Canard en Croûte (de-boned duck stuffed and cooked in a pastry shell), to the easiest of appetizers like fresh, vibrant Edamame with Thyme.

Clearly Delicious is updated daily with recipes that any carnivore or veggie-loving fan might enjoy: healthy, Vegan, Vegetarian, and Veggie-loving recipes, or Tender, Flaky Beef Wellington are just some of the many options in the blog’s recipe book.  A variety of cuisines also grace the blog offering Indian, Mexican, Asian, or French treats.

My friends (and biggest food blogging fans) have astutely noted that I have “a major cooking itch” and am “walking through life looking for an opportunity to bake.” It’s true…I sometimes can be found with a loaf of bread in my hand, and well, I realize that’s a bit weird. But once a foodie, always a foodie.

The best part?

Clearly Delicious is a Food-o-Book (Food Blog + Photo Book = Food-o-Book) representation of my real life cooking for and with friends.  Readers will see a host of well-versed foodies (or just friends making family recipes) as we prepare and test dishes for the site.  High-Definition Professional Photos also grace the blog with step-by-step photo instructions courtesy of my Canon Rebel camera.

In a life of demanding deadlines, busy schedules, and large teaching loads, Clearly Delicious cooking offers me (and my friends) an outlet for both the creativity and abundance of energy with which we approach life.  Dishes bring us together as a way to escape from life’s demanding grind.  When eating one of my labored for and loved recipes, there’s nothing else to worry about except the Clearly Delicious food on your plate.
