Sandson’s Famous Hard Boiled Eggs: The Lord of the Rings Online

Players of The Lord of the Rings Online are well-versed in all things chicken: “Chicken Runs,” or, “Flying the Coop” quests, are one of my favorite multi-player activities originating at Sandson’s Farm in the Shire. Here, players can pick up quests from Farmer Sandson, in which an agitated chicken, George, requests your help to defend against invading wolves.

Players can earn the below Hard Boiled eggs recipe by completing the quest “Eggs for Gammer Tunnelly.”

Sandson's Famous Hard Boiled Eggs

Prep Time: 5 minutes – Cooking Time: 10 minutes – Total Time: 35 minutes

This version of Sandson's Famous Hard Boiled Eggs has you leave the eggs in hot water to rest and absorb additional flavor from the yellow onion.

Ingredients

• 1 yellow onion, sliced
• 6 fresh eggs, washed
• water, to cover eggs

Instructions

Slice onion and add to a saucepan. Fill the saucepan with enough water to cover the eggs and onions. Bring to a boil over medium-high.

Add eggs gently, using a slotted spoon.

Boil for 10 minutes and turn off heat.

Let eggs sit in hot water until it comes to room temperature (about 20-30 minutes).

Drain, remove onions, peel, and enjoy!
